Had a private training with Estephany and her newer colleague today. It was a Q/A for them mostly. They just got a new Kiosk (their first) and it's setup at the Malcolm Ross site. They plan on going live with it in November.

We started today's session going over how to clean up, merge, hide, and edit templates. I also helped them flip their Kiosk sort by to TIME and their roster settings to show and sort by time checked in. They are going to rely on roster printouts for how and who to serve meals to in order of sign up.

We then talked about getting some person reports. Estephany uses a custom field called "Location" and it's a textbox with a number. The number is unique to them and helps track which senior belongs to which sites. I tried showing how the enterprise setup also does this, but they go the extra step. She is emailing our team a list of who should be at what site with which custom location # and I said we could do our best to update everyone accordingly both by linking them to the right site but also make sure their custom fields reflected correctly too.

From there, we went a bit into MAC. I showed them old MAC and walked through how it worked. They don't want to go live with that yet and didn't have a lot of questions. I think that's a back-burner idea.

Estephany is also emailing us to have a data person here update EVERYONE from EVERY site to Spanish as their language on file. She likes the idea that the kiosk will auto convert. 98% of their members cross-site are Spanish speakers.

We wrapped up with how to track donations. Easy enough and straight forward. Showed her how to create a general donations "person" to track her donation box end of each day. Also reminded them of MyTutorialCenter. We briefly talked about Broadcasts near the end too.

Did not record session.

The training went well for the most part. In general Iani does not like hearing no. Anytime I said MSC didn?t do something she would get argumentative. I kind of got the feeling she just wanted me to say ?yes, we?ll make that happen.? To everything and anything she suggested. I wouldn?t be surprised if Jeff gets a call. For example she wants to be able to generate a list of people and barcodes for the entire database in alphabetical order at any time. We just don?t have that right now. She also doesn?t like that the custom fields are separate from file info. She also said she didn?t realize a computer was needed for anyone to use the program which honestly I don?t understand. I did tell she is more than welcome to send a list of requests/suggestions to support but I can?t comment on whether or not they will get done. Her response was ?Fine, I tell them to do it.? I just left that alone as I was not interested in arguing with her.

The first session went good for the most part. There was some slight miss-communication in regards to custom fields but that has been resolved. They asked a few questions here and there but were pretty quiet through most of it. We did cover everything in poeple, personnel, eqipment and settings and we went over robo calls, texts, etc.?<span style="font-style:italic">For reference, below is an email sent to jeff from Iani after the training.?Jeff,Just a reminder that I would like to make sure that we are prepared to be able to utilize the interface with eCIRTS which should be coming online within the next couple of months. This capability most likely would impact which fields will be used in our deployment and how the training sessions will go over the functionality. You had mentioned that this would be something that your company is looking at as it would be applicable to other customers. Please let me know if there has been an evaluation of the file requirements that I provided a couple of months ago.

General Q&A

Category:

Site: malcolm ross

We discussed the best way to track different time slots for lunch sign ups. Instead of using appts, we decided it was best to make two separate templates. They already have one called "Lunch Malcolm Ross" and it's schedule M-F from 12-1pm. She will make a new template and schedule it from 1-2. I also showed her how to edit max sign ups and titles on a range for the templates.

Ultimately she will have two events:
"Lunch Malcolm Ross 12-1"
and
"Lunch Malcolm Ross 1-2"
with up to 50 sign ups each.
Scheduled M-F.

She will continue to use the mobile scanner to check people in. They do NOT have a touchscreen which makes thing harder. She originally wanted to know if she could just sign folks up for the first lunch up to 50 people and then continue and have those overflow sign ups automatically go into the other event roster. I said this is possible and that it would only put people on waitlists for the same event. She seemed to understand before we got off the call, but she has not set anything up yet. I told her to call back if needing any help!
