Mobile Scanner Setup
You can download the mobile scanner software here:
You can download the driver here:
Open the zip file and run MobileScannerSetup.msi to install the software. Once it’s installed, it’ll add a shortcut on your desktop called “Mobile Scanner” and has a green icon with the word “my” in it. Once you open it, the program looks like this:
To set it up, you need to click on Options. A window will open that looks like this:
You’ll need to change the Server text box to point to your site. Simply type in your site address without the www or the http://, for example, yoursite.myseniorcenter.net into the server field. If your center uses a proxy you will need the address, username and password for that as well.
Afterwards just close the window and it should bring you back to the main window.
If you receive an error message after clicking the X, you’ll need to allow the user write access to the following directory:
C:\Program Files(x86)\MySeniorCenter\MobileScanner
Note: If there isn’t a directory called Program Files(x86), then use:
C:\Program Files\MySeniorCenter\MobileScanner
And now it’s all set.
Plug the scanner in via USB and give it a try. Choose the correct port from the drop down menu. These are referring to the USB port. You may have to try a couple before you get the right one or you could go to the device manager to see which port number the mobile scanner is plugged into.
